Nexon hasn't announced whether the recently released DNF Duel will be receiving additional characters through DLC, but considering basically every new fighter these days do, it should be coming sooner rather than later. Our expectation is that at least 1 of Strive's Season 2 fighters will get a full trailer and release date for the game's finals, and considering how long we've been waiting, there's a good chance the second DLC will be at least teased.īeyond Guilty Gear, there's a few more ArcSys titles not on the mainstage that have a strong shot of being included in the festivities too. It's possible the first new DLC character could be teased there, but we believe right now it's more likely to be information regarding when cross-platform play is officially coming to Strive, which players have been waiting for. Through the Evo Lounge streams too, there's a good chance Capcom could drop more information about SF6's single-player World Tour mode, and if we're extra lucky maybe a release date after Street Fighter 5's finals - but we wouldn't hold our breath for that yet.Įither way, there should be plenty of new SF6 information to sink our teeth into.Īrc System Works has already confirmed they are going to share new Season 2 details for Guilty Gear Strive at their panel Friday, August 5, at 10 a.m. The basic gist is though that we're expecting to see at least 2–3 new characters to be unveiled over the weekend with the previously teased Kimberly making the most sense for at least one of them. The top game that many people here are likely waiting to see the most is Street Fighter 6, and Capcom has already made it very apparent that they plan for the game to have a large presence at Evo this year.Īlthough they're obviously not going to willingly spill the beans early, we already do have a larger story going into the expectations for SF6 this weekend that you should look at if you haven't before. So let's delve a bit deeper into the big Evo titles. On top of all that, we can also expect to see a nice chunk of smaller / indie fighting game announcements at Evo too with Arcade1UP and Umbral Core already confirming they have special reveals planned too. Games, Capcom, SNK, and Bandai Namco Entertainment will at least have announcements during their Friday and Saturday live streams plus whatever may be coming during the tournament finals. Thanks to the reveal of the PlayStation Tournaments: Evo Lounge, however, we can already gauge that Arc System Works, Warner Bros. Most of Evo's 9 mainstage titles this year appear ready to show off something new, but not all of them. ![]()
